Between Pittsburgh and NYC
Hi! Does anyone know any fun vacation spots located half way between Pittsburgh, PA and New York, NY? My parents, my boyfriend, and myself live in PGH and my sister and her fiance live in NYC. We would like to all meet up at a half way point for a long weekend filled with fun. We would prefer a place with shopping, golfing, pool, fun bar or bars, some retaurants, etc. There are no children with us so it does not need to be kid friendly. Any ideas?? Thanks!!
Is Hersheypark the kind of place you are looking for?
Hi, thanks for responding. We did think of Hershey but it is so darned expensive! We're looking for something a tad less expensive. Actually, we were going to go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls which I know is not half way at all but there's stuff for everybody to do, lots of fun nightlife, etc. and doesn't break the bank. But, my parents are still waiting for their passports and they may not get them in time. There's a new rule about having to have a Passport to enter Canada or Mexico. We're just rying to think of plan B!!
Welcome to the RoadTrip America forums!
The Eastern Shore of Maryland might be worth a look. Certainly it offers quaint towns such as Chestertown, St. Michael's and others, golfing, great seafood restaurants, and nightlife and shopping are a relatively short drive away in Annapolis, Washington and Baltimore, and the shore is also handy.
They can get by without a passport if they have an "enhanced" driver's license.
