I'm from Portugal and I wanna do a road trip in America this June, but everyone is telling me that I shouldn't go because of the influenza H1N1. What's your opinion?
thanks and sorry for my bad english
You should go on with your visit as planned. 5,000 people out of 300,000,000 have the swine flu. It is really a non-issue at this time.
The whole n1h1/swine flu thing has been extremely overblown.
Every year, about 30,000 people in the US alone die from the regular flu, so far there have been a couple hundred deaths from the swine flu worldwide. If you are a normal healthy adult, and you do get this disease, it wouldn't be much different than catching the regular flu.
Unless the common cold would be enough to cause you to cancel a trip, I wouldn't worry about it.
