    Default To Hell and back!!

I'm planning another (crazy?) Iron Butt ride for early next summer. The plan is to ride from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Hell, Michigan and then north across the Mackinaw bridge, around Lake Michigan and then BACK home. it's about 1014 miles and it would need to be done in less than 24 hours.

    Here is Hell

What I am looking for is a city named Back. This would be another way to ride to Hell and Back. :)I found a Back in Texas it's 9 miles north of I-40 near McLean but it's a ghost town, I've been told there is nothing left.Does anyone know of any other cities named Back or have any info on Back, Texas? Thanks

My 07 edition of Streets and Trips says there is a bar named "Back" in unincorporated Taylor County, Wisconsin. This would be right on your way back (pardon the pun).

Info I have is - W14393 CR-F, 715-669-7372. It's between Bellinger and Lublin, about 1 mile east of WI-73. It's about halfway between Eau Claire and Wausau, about 5 miles north of WI-29. Might want to call that number and see what you get.

    Default Love it !

    Hi Rollin.

I love the concept, but I only came up with the same 'Back' TX as you did. I tried things like anback, unback e.t.c and still no joy.

Best I could do is to send you through Hell and Highwater [in Ohio. ]

    Default Musically Inclined?

There is a Bach, Michigan northeast of Saginaw near the base of the 'thumb' (Zip Code: 48735) although it doesn't look like much more than a crossroads.

    Very cool idea, Rollin'.

I just recently went down to Florida for a weekend two weeks ago. I'm already itching for another trip. Maybe around Christmas I'll drive somewhere.

This should be fun!!! Four other members of the local Victory Motorcycle Club are going to join me on this ride.
    I'm going for the t-shirt. :).
I found the perfect roadtrip song for this ride!

Tell ya what - go get a little stuffed animal, put it in a little basket, and stick it in your saddlebag. When you get back, hang a sign around the animal's neck saying "I went to hell in a handbasket!"
