Christmas Roadtrip California to Washington

I am looking to plan a roadtrip this Christmas break. I am starting from Monterey, CA and would like to visit Oregon and Washington. I have time off from 12/24/08 to 1/4/09. I would like to plan a 4 to 7 day roadtrip during those days. Not sure about the weather conditions and attractions at this time. I am open to suggestions.

It's nearly impossible for someone else to design a trip that will meet your needs and expectations. Only you can do that. What we can offer you are some suggestions for what's available, some planning tools, an indication of the average temperatures and precipitation for cities in the area, and a sounding board for your own choices and plans. Yes you can plan a great trip with a week and a half to see the Pacific Northwest, but in the end a trip that you come up with sill be infinitely better than a one-size-fits-all suggestion from a web site.
