  1. Default Help please - 3 UK/IRISH girls and a pick up for a 21st Birthday!!

Okay so the plan so far is:

Fly from the London, UK on the 06 Aug 09 to Miami staying at the Ritz Carlton for 5 nights.

We then fly from Miami to Phoenix on the 11th arriving midday where we have hired a pick up truck for 17nights. The last 3nights of our trip (25 Aug 09 - 28 Aug 09) must end in Las Vegas where we are staying at the Venetian, we fly home on the 28th Aug.

So, we have a gap from the 11th of Aug - 25 Aug to drive a circuit of California. Ideally we would like to go Phoenix - San Diego - Los Angeles - San Francisco then drive Yosemite - Death Valley down to Las Vegas.

Everyone, this realistic?? How mauch time would you say to spend in each destination whilst having the car? Should we miss anywhere out or stop anywhere extra? Any help, route plans, tips and guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

A chauffeur perhaps?? Willing guys to accompany us?? lol

Thanks in advance for any replies everyone!!

    Default Fine-tuning your trip

After you've read through some of those threads and come up with ideas and a draft itinerary, please come on back here with your ideas and we can point out anything that might need fine-tuning.

Also, if you want recommendations on things to see and do, it's helpful to have an idea of what kinds of things interest you and the types of experiences you're hoping for.

17 days gives you plenty of time to do this loop, so happy planning!

Sounds like lots of fun! My first thought, however, is that since you'll be in the southwest at the hottest time of year, you might enjoy your trip more if you stick close to the Pacific ocean and the mountains. I'm sure you will get plenty of helpful ideas from this forum.
