  1. Default girl trip to Savannah, Charleston, outerbanks North Carolina

I'm a first time user and desperately seeking info on a 10 day girl trip.
Our plan is to travel through Savannah, Charleston, stopping to enjoy both and then on to the otter banks of North Carolina. One of my friends LOVES
lighthouses so this seemed like a good destination. Please offer any suggestions on where to stay, eat, and play! We have also thought about tripping to Williamsburg while in the area. Any thoughts on this. We all love
bargain shopping, antiquing, ( things our husbands do not enjoy thus the girl
trip!) Beautiful scenery would be a major plus. We all love the beach.
We are open for suggestions. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Here are some ideas, tips and resources for you to consider:
Anne's tips for day trips in the Charleston area
    Some stops in central Georgia
Photo opp at a EXTREMELY large oak tree
A local's perspectives about visiting Savannah
A lighthouse option (if you go as far north as Cape Hatteras)
    Outer banks suggestions

    Happy Planning!

    Default Charleston and Savannha

Hey, there! You chose a great place for a girl's trip.

If youíre taking I-95, youíll find PLENTY of outlet stores off the interstate. I havenít visited the Outer Banks yet, but I think I can offer some ideas for Charleston and Savannah.

    Charleston, SC

    King Street
Itís the shopping center of downtown. Partly big name stores (GAP, Nine West, Coach, etc.) but a little farther down it turns into antique paradise! Be on the look out for the crepe van for a delish afternoon snack.

    Shem Creek
Itís actually in Mt. Pleasant, which it just north of Charleston. Itís where many of the local shrimp boats are based. This means lots and lots of fresh seafood. Many of the restaurants have dining right on the water. There are so many good restaurants here, I canít recommend just one. Drive around until you see a place you like a go in.

    The Battery/Water Front Park
Find a place to park and where comfy shoes. You can take carriage tours, house museum tours or even harbor tours. The great thing is you donít even have to spend a penny. Take in the sites and roam the Market.

    Savannah, GA

    The Lady and Sons
Paula Deenís restaurant IS as good as everyone says. You canít make reservations in advance, so show up before lunch starts if you want to eat dinner there. Thereís even a Paula Deen city tour you can take. I donít know any one whoís taken it, but it looks fun.

    Tours Galor!
Ghost tours, carriage tours, house tours, trolley tours, thereís sooo many options.

    City Market
The City Market is full of interesting little shops AND wonderful little place where you can taste wine from a local winery. Youíll also find a few very nice local restaurants here.

I hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!
