  1. Default July - SF-LA-LV-GC-Yosemite-SF

We are a Swedish couple that are spending three weeks in July traveling around California and Nevada.

    Here is our itinerary:

7 Arrival San Francisco ca 21.00

8 Route One, hotel in Monterey

9 Route One, hotel in San Luis Obispo (Big Sur, visit Hearst Castle)

10 Route One, hotel in Santa Barbara

    11 Los Angeles (Six flags)

    12 Los Angeles (Baseball)

    13 Los Angeles

    14 Los Angeles (Universal studios)

15 Santa Monica, Venice beach etc.

16 Morning in Los Angeles, afternoon trip to Las Vegas, hotel in Las Vegas

17 Las Vegas, hotel in Las Vegas

18 Grand Canyon, hotel in Las Vegas (helicopter ride in Grand Canyon?)

19 Las Vegas, hotel in Las Vegas (Cirque De Soleil)

20 Las Vegas, hotel in Las Vegas (Hoover Dam)

21 Death Valley, hotel in somewhere towards Yosemite

    22 Yosemite, hotel in Yosemite

    23 San Francisco

24 San Francisco - (Golden Gate, Sausolito, Muir woods)

    25 San Francisco -

    26 San Francisco

    27 San Francisco (Alcatraz)

28 Flying back to Sweden 1300.

So this is our itinerary. We have no clue of where to stay when we are in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Yosemite, Death Valley.

So what do you think? Is this are plausible way of traveling? Please feel free to give us any suggestions regarding hotels or sights to see. Which company is the best to give us a trip by helicopter/plane to Grand Canyon?

This is our honeymoon so I want to give my wife some surprises along the way.

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

You're taking the number one most talked about trip on this forum, so you should be able to find lots more ideas, and possible surprises if you look around here a little more.

As far as the trip you've laid out, I think you're planning a good amount of time for everything. The only possible issue is the Grand Canyon, which if you only have one day pretty much requires a helicopter trip. Its just a little too far to comfortably drive there and back and have time to see anything in one day. I don't have any specific helicopter recommendations, however.
