  1. Default Flying into Phoenix

I'll be flying into Phoenix at the end of the month and am planning to rent a vehicle and spend 8 or 9 days seing the southwest. I've already done Vegas and the parks in Utah and Colorado and would like some suggestions on how to proceed from here.

Default How about south and east then?

Welcome to the Roadtrip America forums!

You could go south to Tucson and then head east. Take in the "wild west" towns of Bisbee and Tombstone and then head into New Mexico where you could explore places like White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, Roswell, Tucumcari, Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Gallup. This would make a lovely trip.

Or you could do Death Valley, Sequoia, King's Canyon, Palm Springs, and some other points in Southern CA.

Do any of these interest you?

    Thanks Judy,

I think the trip into New Mexico works just great
