  1. Default Water filter storage

I have a built in water filter system in my travel trailer. When the trailer is not being used, what is the best way to store the filter? Can it sit in the canister with water in the canister or should it be removed and stored somewhere?

I don't know what the owner's manual says, but on my rig, I always removed the cannister and let it air dry when vehicle was in dry-dock.
