Is early May too soon to visit Cranesville Sub Arctic Swamp? Is it accessible by car, bike, on foot? Any other suggestions for the area as to inexpensive motels?

    Default New One on Me

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

Thanks! I had never heard of the Cranesville Sub Arctic Swamp before this. Now I'll have to go the next time I'm in the area. I did go to High School in Maryland, however, and even in the Baltimore area we were subject to occasional snow in May, but I would say that your chances are very good that the area will be accessible in May, if a bit on the damp and chilly side. Also nearby is the Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area. There are two nearby college towns, Morgantown, WV and Frostburg, MD that should offer some low-cost accommodations.
