  1. Default Route 66 roadtrip + Yosemite

    Ok.. here's the deal.
So me and some friends are dying to go on this huge roadtrip, but it's not so obvious seeing we're from Belgium. That's right.. Europe.
So could anyone give me some instructions on what transportation to use, and what I should definitely see!

I'd appreciate it alot guys! Cheers

    Default roads need cars

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

If you are looking to follow the path of route 66, you'll pretty much have to do it by car. I guess I'm not sure what other transportation you'd even be thinking of.

Lots of europeans come to the US to enjoy a roadtrip, and the current exchange rate makes it a very attractive option.

Beyond that, we'll need a little more information from you: How many people will be traveling? How old will you be? How long do you have for this trip? When will it take place? What are your interests/why do route 66 and yosemite sound interesting to you?

Default Places to explore on Route 66

There are so many cool places along that route. I suggest you visit the Route 66 page at this website with links to several places full of good information and tips.

And, yes, you really need a car to do Route 66 properly. No way around that.

I'll be travelling with a friend, I'm 18 so I definitely don't have much experience but I am pretty useful when it comes to orientating myself. So I'm not worried about that.
I was thinking about 3 weeks on the road, starting from mid juli.
Route 66 is the bestway to see as much of America as possible and still feel like you're out on your own.
As for Yosemite, my parents went there on their honeymoon, so I've always found it attractive.
