  1. Default Calgary and the rockies driving north

    Hi

    I am thinking about a road trip from Calgary to yellowknife and back in 10 days starting 25 May.


    Is this possible (are the roads open etc)

    Any advice on things to see routes etc accomadation would be welcome.

    All of the roads (in Alberta) will be open (actually I have never seen the roads closed -- even when the conditions would have closed them 100% of the time in United States). A roundtrip trip of 3600 kms in 10 days is certainly possible -- but the roads are likely to be a bit challenging in southern North West Territories if we have a normal spring thaw. Here is the road conditions reporting site for NWT and hopefully one of our local members can provide some useful information on this.
