Default US 40 Plainfield Diner to close

I had no idea where to post this story. It's another classic US-40 stop that has bit the dust in the Indianapolis area.

    Default What is the reference?

I thought your username might have been related to Butler, Indiana?

Thanks for the post about the diner --

You will find frequent posts in this section about such places (many of them are posted by RoadDog)

The Great Midwest, Illinois to be precise

    Default Read About It

Looks like a place I won't get a chance to check out. Too bad.

I think the $1.75 million asking price is way out of line, no matter how great a place it is.

Right there on the first Federally-funded US highway, the National Road.
