  1. Default Newbie who needs advice...

Finally, I am able to start planning my first road trip! A friend and I are going out west and we need some help with routes. We are going next May, starting in Atlanta, GA and the places we would like to hit are: Arches NP, Bryce Canyon, Zion NP, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Four Corners Monument, Mesa Verde NP, Great Sand Dunes NP, and Las Vegas. We have 3 weeks to do this and I need to know what order we should see things in that would be most efficient. Also, are we planning on seeing too many things? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the RTA forum!

I think you should be able to fit all of that in, although I suspect you'll have to keep moving.

In terms of efficiantcy, I think I would head west on I-40, go north in New Mexico and then hit Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, 4 corners, monument valley, grand canyon, and vegas. Then head back east with Zion, Bryce, and Arches, using I-70 for much of the trip back home.
