  1. Default Portland to Yellowstone

Hi all. Can anybody recommend a good route for the above leg of my roadtrip happening next summer. Ive allowed two days worth of driving but id like to choose the most scenic and interesting drive. Id like to stop over midway at some point, but do not know where is best to stay. It seems I can either go via Boise on I-84, through the Nez Perce National Park further north, or further north still via Coeur D'Alene.

If anyone has any suggestions, id love to hear them.

I have not been up in that neck of the woods, beyond Yellowstone, but I have heard that all of those routes are quite nice to drive. Distance-wise, the trip on I-84 or through Nez Perce is about the same, but the latter would take quite awhile longer, it looks like roughly 10 hours each day. The former would be about 8 hours each day, factoring rest stops and the like.
