  1. Default Maryland to Maine

Hi there I am planning my first road trip from Maryland Maine this Sept. I only have five and a half days to go there and back. I plan to camp out every night (yes I know it will be chilly) and stay somewhere nice in Maine.

Just looking for some points of interest want to go a scenic route, mountains, state parks, lakes, waterfalls and the coast etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

No matter how you go (once you're in New England) your drive will be scenic. I think that a good goal for such a trip would be Acadia National Park, which would be an easy two day drive each way, allowing time to visit sites along the coast and spend a day or so in the park itself. The New England area has been discussed at length in previous threads, so be sure to read up on some of them. In addition, you may want to also consider a more scenic way around New York City
