Default Irresistible Force vs. Immovable Object

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

You ask the two competing questions of RoadTripping: How long should a drive take? and: What should I see? Unfortunately, one can't answer them both at the same time, because the answer for one strongly influences the other. You can make that drive in as little as a day and a half if all you do is hop on I-5 and make the trip. If you wanted to see everything along the way, you could take a week, or more, to complete the trip. So, check out what there is to see and do, subject to your time constraints. And keep in mind that once you leave the Interstates, your average speed will drop considerably as you encounter traffic lights, stop signs, and small towns.
