  1. Default Sacramento to Lubbock, Texas via Route 66

    Hey All,
My wife and I are going on a road trip to Lubbock Texas and was thinking about stopping at the Grand Canyon then doing the Route 66 thing. Any tips or good stops would be great.
    Thanks

Welcome to the Great American RoadTrip Forum! Driving Route 66 can be a little tricky (hard to follow) but it is a popular topic around here.

Here are some resources for you:

RoadDog is one of the RoadTrip Advisors here and he has driven Route 66 several times -- here is a one of his field reports.

Guy Randall has produced one of the best sites for planning such a trip

And RTA has a Route 66 resource page.

You might enjoy starting your Route 66 trip at Oatman and the Sitgreaves Pass area!
