July 15 my dad and I will depart Clifton, Virginia, for a whirlwind tour of North America. We'll drive I-64 W to Omaha, Nebraska, and then run north to North Dakota and cut across on US-2 W over to Seattle (with a couple turns in between).
The real journey begins when we cross the border and begin the road to Alaska. We'll hang there until we are satisfied with what we've seen and then on the way home will take the Trans-Canada Highway back across the continent.
We'll be gone for a month and a half, so we will ahve time to cover a lot of ground, but not so much time to really delve intot he local culture as much as we would like. Especially in Alaska and Canada, what are some must sees?
