  1. Default San Francisco to Seattle

I'm planning to travel from SF to Seattle in October. Looking for a drive that would be a 3-day scenic view. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

Even by Interstate, this is a trip that really requires a day and a half, so 3 days is long enough to take a couple of detours, but, you will still have to keep an eye on the clock. You won't have time, for example, to take the Coast the whole way north.

I might recommend driving up the coast, exploring the Redwoods, before cutting back to I-5 via US-199. I think that would make for three very full days of travel.

Otherwise, I might stick to I-5, and just take a few extra detours, using your extra time to explore places like Crater Lake and Mount St. Helens.
