  1. Default Coast to coast with motorbike in august

Hi to all. First of all, excuse me for my bad english...
I'm an italian man (38 years). This is my first message. I don't read to older messages and perhaps some other message touches this argument...
I'm planning my trip to usa. I go to New York at the 3. of august 2007 and return in Italy am 24 august 2007.
I'm alone and have no problem to change my route...
Now, I'm planning to make this trip:
    NEW YORK - NIAGARA FALLS
    NIAGARA FALLS - CHICAGO
    CHICAGO - MILWAUKEE
    MILWAUKEE - SIOUX FALLS
    SIOUX FALLS - RAPID CITY
    RAPID CITY - YELLOWSTONE
YEELOWSTONE PARK - SALT LAKE CITY
    SALT LAKE CITY - MOAB
    MOAB - LAS VEGAS
    LAS VEGAS - LOS ANGELES
    LOS ANGELES - SAN FRANCISCO
You think that is possible whithout problems?
I love natural park, not the big cities. I love good roads whith curves and not straight streets...
Can you give some council to me? About roads and about seesights...
I can modify my trip without problem...

Thanks in advance and ciao from Italy

    Default Straight Roads

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

The basics of your route seem fine, although but I'm not sure if it fits your goals of seeing nature, and curvy roads.

Your plan to me seems like you will be spending quite a bit of your time in cities. If the places you've listed are going to be your only overnight stops, then you will also need to stick to the straight and fast interstate freeways to cover those distances in a day.

I think you would have time to get off the main highways, enjoy those curvy roads, and spend some more time in small towns, and still cover these basic places/route during the course of 3 weeks.

WOW! Be safe out there. It is possible, but you will be very tired. Have fun!!

    Thank for your welcome.
I can change my route without problems. It's only important that I start from NYC and arrive in San Francisco. How make I this trips it's only my choice. So if you have any tips for me (places, road or other) please send me your opinion...
After Milwaukee I want to go to national parks, but it's only an idea...
I respond to Midwest Michael and to bmwg84, I know that is a long trip, but for me it's more important to drive across good street (day or night is not a problem). Mainly I think that I will can view Niagara Falls, perhaps Milwaukee (Harley Davidson factory), and the National Parlks (Yellowstone, Arches, Death Valley and so on...), but I'm waiting for your suggestion... Thanks

    Bye
