    Default Lansing

What film was Lansing, Iowa in?

I like the Mississippi River bridge at Lansing. Its very old and narrow, and the bridge approaches are very steep and at a very sharp angle to the bridge deck. Its not a problem for cars at all, its just very unusual for a modern bridge.

It was in The Straight Story by David Lynch (he of Twin Peaks). One old guy's journey across Iowa on a tractor. Apparently though the movie shows him going the wrong way over the bridge.
