Default Too Little to Go On

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

That is perhaps the perfect age for kids to get the most out of RoadTripping, and that starts with the planning. Ask them what they'd like to see and do, if only in a general sense. Get them a good road atlas and let them pick out the national parks, like Great Smoky Mountains, or scenic roads such as the Natchez Trace or Blue Ridge Parkways that would be on the way if you followed the Appalachian Mountains (roughly I-81). On the other hand, if you were to head for the coast you could include great locations like the Outer Banks, and an 'ocean cruise'. But the main thin is to get them involved in the planning, so that it's their trip to. Or at the very least, let us know what they like if you'd rather spring some surprises on them. Also, how much time do you have for the driving p0ortion, and how much time are you going to be spending in NH, and where? I used to live there and may be able to offer a suggestion or two.
