    hi guys..
me and my gf is thinking travelling during mid- november..

we doing our first winter camping in crater lake south down the oregon coastline..and then head towards grand canyon north rim
we were thinking of camping at toroweap..with a backcountry permit
I was wonder if its feasible to be driving a westfalia for our trip to oregon and toroweap??

does a westfalia have high enough clearance..??
    need a 4WD maybe ...etc??
    road closures advice...??

anyone has any advice for crater lake driving/winter camping...
and camping at grand canyon north rim..i.e. toroweap ..etc??

I really appreciate any form of feedback..! yeah :) safe and happy trails..

    regards vincent

You may have a problem with Winter weather in Grand Canyon's North Rim. This weather would probably preclude any concerns you have about your VW's ground clearance.

Default Same problem at Crater Lake

Snow depth is usually about 17" and access to the Crater Lake area in the winter is pretty limited. Check it out.
