  1. Default Virginia to South Dakota

We are heading out on Friday for a trip to Rapid City, South Dakota from Fairfax, Virginia. Planning on stopping in Columbus, Ohio and Greenville, Ohio to tour the KitchenAid factory. On our way home in a week, we are going to hit KC for some BBQ. Looking forward to the trip...Has anyone used one of those mini refrigerators for the car? If so, was it worth having over an ice chest?

    Default Coolers and Fridges

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America forum.

One of Moderators, Judy, recently wrote on this very issue. My own experience with my mini-fridge is similar. It is great at keeping its contents both cool and dry (NOT cold, mine will only go down to 42ºF.) and gets a good workout when I'm not travelling as it sits under my desk at work. The downside is that when not plugged in and turned on, it gets warm fairly fast.
