• Timberline Lodge, Mount Hood - Timberline Lodge, Oregon

      Roadtrip Attraction
Timberline Lodge was constructed in the 1930s as part of FDR's New Deal and remains one of the northwest's great historic hotels, with a rugged, hand-built character that feels as solid as the mountain itself. Located 6,000 ft up Mount Hood, it offers the most amazing view both up the mountain itself and out across the Cascades. Most of your fellow visitors will be skiers or hikers but it's worth a stay for the experience alone.
