The Bar T 5 Ranch in Jackson, Wyoming offers visitors the opportunity to experience horse-powered explorations of the beautiful surrounding area of Jackson Hole, no matter what kind of weather is happening. No need to drive out to the ranch - your tour guides will pick you up at your hotel for these unique, memorable expeditions.
During the winter, thousands of elk flock to this region, and the Bar T 5 will take you to observe them up close with a horse-drawn sleigh ride that will bring you within close range of not only elk, but also deer, bison, eagles, foxes and other abundant wildlife.
In warmer weather, sleighs give way to covered wagons modeled after the old Conestoga wagons that our ancestors traveled in, except that the modern edition has rubber tires for a more comfortable journey. You can take the Covered Wagon Cookout, a day trip into Cache Creek Canyon to a campsite where you'll enjoy a meal cooked over a campfire and musical entertainment before riding back into town at sunset. Or, if you want more of a total immersion, you can opt for the Teton Covered Wagon Train and Horse Adventure, a four-day, three-night camping trek during which your wagon train circles the Grand Tetons and passes close to Yellowstone. You also have the option of taking additional excursions on horseback (don't worry if you're inexperienced, as there are expert guides to assist you) to view more remote sights such as waterfalls.
