A short distance from the former winter home of Frank Lloyd Wright is a little park that pays tribute to the architectural titan. The centerpiece is a spire that Wright designed himself in 1957 to be placed at the Arizona State Capitol. But the design, ahead of its time, was rejected and the spire was not built until 2004, after his death. Standing 125 feet high, it is illuminated blue at night. The spire stands in a little park designed by Wright's apprentice Arnold Roy to pay tribute to him, and it features sculptures by another apprentice Heloise Crista.

      If you go:
This tribute to Wright is next to a shopping center with ample free parking, and can be viewed without charge. The spire is illuminated nightly from 6 PM to 6 AM.
