If you find yourself in the picturesque and storied college town of Wellesley, it definitely will be worth your while to stop by this, one of the most exquisite municipal buildings in the country. Completed in 1886, this Romanesque castle-like structure was originally the site of the Wellesley Library. It's impressive and intriguing viewed from any angle, and it sits in a pleasant little park called Hunnewell Park, named after the businessman who donated the land.

      If you go:
While strolling through the park, keep an eye out for stones with plaques commemorating local medical pioneers, including the first surgeon to perform a heart transplant and the first to use ether.
