World's End seems, in a tranquil and pleasant sense, to be an appropriate name for this little park and preserve with hills offering a panoramic view of Boston, the bay, islands and sailboats. It's a nice place to hike, picnic, or go horseback riding, and maybe even wading in the water, during the summer. In winter it's open to cross-country skiing.

      If you go:
There is a small admission charge except for members, bicyclists, and rail commuters. The nearest rail station is about a mile away. Be sure to check out the mirrored sculpture called A New End, located on a little causeway between two of the park's islands.
