Gold Point is not quite a ghost town with a population of about 17. The town dates to 1902 and some of the old buildings are still there. The original town post office is now home to a small museum, and the telegraph building is now a rustic saloon. There is a lot of history and no shortage of colorful characters to be found around town.

      If you go:
If you want to stay in Gold Point they have two historic cabins available for rent and a few new ones at a cheaper rate. There is plenty of open land outside of town for camping as well. The road into town is paved and ends at the saloon. You won't want to miss the (replica) hanging gallows!
