This classic building, built in the 1800s as a church rectory, is steeped in history - it's even said to be haunted. The first 5 Poles to arrive in Chicopee spent the night here, and that makes it a fitting site to house the story of the Polish people's contribution to the community and the nation, as related in historic documents, vintage photos and recordings, folk art, and personal memorabilia. Every October, the Center celebrates the Polish heritage with a Krakus festival, named after the legendary founder of Krakow who defeated a pesky dragon.
