• Hot Springs Resort and Spa - Hot Springs, North Carolina

      Relax submerged in Jacuzzi-style hot tubs, in a private shelter overlooking Spring Creek in Hot Springs, North Carolina. Located north of Asheville near the Tennessee border, the resort was established in 1800, was used as an internment camp for Germans in World War I, and now offers camping and lodging in addition to soaking and spa services. In town, you can walk a short piece of the Appalachian Trail as well as do a little shopping and eating. Hot Springs was voted the Best Small Mountain Town from Georgia to West Virginia by readers of Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine.

      Hot Springs is located only about 40 minutes north of Asheville on US 25/70 North, near the French Broad River. Reservations are advised for the mineral baths as well as other spa services. The campground and cabins are located across the street from the hot springs and offer several types of sites and lodging facilities. A few restaurants are located within walking distance in town as well as other lodging options. A popular ride to Hot Springs is "The Rattler." Take exit 24 off Interstate 40 onto NC Highway 209 and follow it north to Hot Springs.
