Pickle's Place is a traditional, unassuming roadside diner, complete with chrome stools and formica tables. It's also famous (locally at least) as the 'Home of The Atomic Burger.' Atomic? Well, on July 17th, 1955, Arco become the first city in the world to be lit up by atomic energy and they decided this was as good a hook as any for their burgers. Truth be told, the Atomic Burger isn't noticeably different from a standard burger but it's a marketing attraction, it works, and good luck to them!

      If you go:
If you don't fancy the burger there are plenty of other choices but remember this is only a small place - if it gets busy you may have to wait a little. The place is open from 6.00 am seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
