      This home in Richmond served as the Executive Mansion of the Confederate Government during the Civil War. Confederate President Jefferson Davis lived here, until fleeing Richmond in April 1865, just days before the end of the Civil War.

      Tours of the White House are available through the Museum of the Confederacy, located right next door. The museum is home to one of the country's largest collections of Civil War artifacts.
