• Bearizona Wildlife Park - Williams, Arizona

Bearizona is a drive-thru wildlife park that's home to bison, big horn sheep, wolves, raptors and - you guessed it - a large number of black bears, including cubs. All live in environments which, although ultimately enclosed, allow them to wander (and hide!) and are a pretty close approximation of their natural habitats. You can explore the park's 160 acres in your own vehicle, or take a guided tour in one of their buses. There's a walk-through area too, with smaller animals (e.g. bob cats, otters, javelinas) and a petting zoo.

      If you go:
Bearizona is open daily except Christmas Day. The park opens to visitors at 9.00 am and the last car is admitted at 4.00 pm (this varies depending on the time of year, early closing on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve).
