Though it doesn't look like much from the road, Chanticleer Point in Portland Women's Forum State Park is a great place to take pictures of the Vista House and Crown Point, the Columbia River Gorge and Rooster Rock. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Beacon Rock State Park 10 miles up river on the Washington side. It's a good place to start your journey. There are hiking trails out to other overlooks, if you care to hike around, but the main attraction is the view from Chanticleer Point.

      If you go:
There is no fee and the park is small, so it won't take much time to enjoy the view.
