• Lincoln State Monument - Lincoln, New Mexico

      The small community of Lincoln, New Mexico is world famous as the site of the Lincoln County War, a bloody feud that made the name of a teenage William H Bonney, aka Billy the Kid. Consisting of 17 separate structures along the length of main street, the state monument includes the Old Lincoln County Courthouse, preserved Tunstall Store (complete with 19th century merchandise), the San Juan Mission Church, and other buildings that featured prominently in this historic event.
