• Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum - Chattanooga, Tennessee

      Roadtrip Attraction
The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum is not a particularly large rail museum, but it has a large number of operating vintage trains, making local excursions on a restored rail line. Some of the trains berthed at the facility have been used in Hollywood films, including the Marilyn Monroe movie 'Some Like it Hot'. The museum actually has two locations: the main terminal on Cromwell Rd. and the maintenance facility at 2202 N. Chamberlain Ave., which also features the turntable where trains change direction.
