• Rock Creek Bridge - Sapulpa, Oklahoma

      Roadtrip Attraction
Built in 1921 to serve the Ozark Trail, 'Bridge No. 18 at Rock Creek' became part of Route 66 in 1926 and remained busy until 1952 when the highway was realigned to the south. It has remained open as a county road until March 2013, when a state inspection deemed it unsafe. Repairs are currently underway. The bridge, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a 120 feet-long steel truss design and is particularly notable for the brick decking.

      If you go:
There's plenty of parking area available on the road leading up to the bridge, and it remains open to pedestrians.
