• Vietnam Veterans Memorial - Washington, DC

      Roadtrip Attraction
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is actually made up of three parts: the Three Soldiers Statue; the Vietnam Women's Memorial and, best known, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. The reflective black stone of this wall (formed by two angled walls) carries the names, in chronological order, of the 58,267 members of the armed forces who either died or were listing as missing in action during the Vietnam War. The inspiration for the wall came from former serviceman Jan Scruggs and the cost of its design and construction was met by private contributions.
