• Rosedown Plantation - St. Francisville, Louisiana

      Roadtrip Attraction
From the moment you approach Rosedown Planatation through its beautiful - and extensive - pleasure gardens, it's clear that this antebellum home was once the home of one of the South's wealthiest planters. The interior is grand in scale and charming in decor, while the 600-ft long oak allee frames a stunningly beautiful view of the house. Given the circumstances behind which this wealth was created, there's obviously a taint to this beauty but Rosedown is nevertheless a real jewel in Louisiana's crown.
