• Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum - Bristol, Rhode Island

      Roadtrip Attraction
Located on Naragansett Bay, Blithewold is a picturesque 33-acre estate that has been named as one of New England's finest public gardens. The 45-room mansion was rebuilt in 1907 after the original structure, built in 1896, was gutted by fire. It has been painstakingly furnished with the look of its heyday. Blithewold is available to book for special occasions.

      If you go:
Mansion open from mid-April through Columbus Day. Garden and grounds open year-round. In both cases, the schedule is subject to change due to special events. The winter holiday season is especially festive.
