• Fenway Park - Boston, Massachusetts

      Roadtrip Attraction
Celebrating its centennial in 2012, Fenway is, along with Chicago's Wrigley Field, one of the two remaining old-time baseball stadiums. It's been home to such legends of the sport as Ted Williams, Carlton Fisk and Carl Yastrzemski. In addition to the Red Sox, it was home for brief periods to the Boston Patriots football team, and to the Boston Braves. With the many renovations and additions over the years, Fenway has achieved some quirky features that have been given colorful nicknames, and have achieved near-legendary stature in themselves.

      If you go:
Tickets for Red Sox games are extremely difficult to come by, as the stadium is one of the smallest in the major leagues, and the team has a fiercely loyal following. But there are also concerts, tours and other events that can offer you a glimpse of the inside. The facility is in the heart of the city, with many other worthwhile attractions nearby.
