• Lyric Theater - Harrison, Arkansas

      Roadtrip Attraction
Built in 1929, on the old-fashioned square in the heart of town, the Lyric Theater served as a movie theater until 1977. After being closed for several years and nearly demolished, it was rescued from the wrecking ball, renovated and given a new life as the cultural hub of this colorful Ozark community. Movies are still screened here on some nights, but the real draw is the series of locally produced theatrical productions with a variety ranging from children's theater to 'Sweeney Todd'.
