• Crayola Factory - Easton, Pennsylvania

      Roadtrip Attraction
The name is a bit misleading, because this isn't really where Crayola brand crayons are manufactured. But it is the company's official visitor center, where you can learn all about how the product is made and its colorful history. You can also explore its potential for creativity, doodling to your heart's content without having to clean up your mess afterward. There's also a fun gift shop, of course, where you can buy all kinds of souvenirs related to Crayola. The shop has even been known to sell some of the crayons molded by Mister Rogers during his visit to the factory!

      If you go:
The factory can get rather crowded at times (lots of kids - who would have guessed?) so you should try for off-peak times if possible. The busiest times tend to be midday (about 11:00 to 2:00) and during the entire months of July and August, as well as around major holidays. The facility is open all year except for the first two weeks or so in January. The tri-city area of Easton, Bethlehem and Allentown is home to many special events throughout the year.
