If you've always wondered how restaurant food can qualify as "home made," you've never eaten at the Mini-Gourmet in Placentia, California. Owners Lora & Brian Johnston and their staff will make you feel so much at home as they serve you their delicious dishes, you'll know no other adjective could apply. We especially enjoyed the Smoked Turkey Caesar Salad, which features sun-dried tomatoes and red peppers along with the usual Caesar ingredients. The navy bean soup and cashew chicken salad were also excellent. Home-baked cookies were a delightful surprise at the end of our meal -- the Mini-Gourmet's special Friday treat! The Mini-Gourmet is also open for breakfast and supper, seven days a week. If you become a regular, you just may find yourself immortalized on the wall!
